ABOUT US

WHAT WE DO

Liberis Charity is a UK based charity that helps deserving children in the UK who need financial assistance to achieve their education or need help to integrate into the community through the provision of better facilities and resources for living, communication, mobility and stability. We also help disabled children actively take part in all activities in the community.

HOW WE FULFILL OUR OBJECTIVES

We foster links and work with relevant organisations that deal with children, particularly disabled children on a day to day basis and are best placed to pinpoint deserving children who benefit from extra help. Also we cooperate with and support other charities that have similar purposes.

OBJECTIVES

To help deserving children who need financial assistance to achieve their education or help to integrate in to the community through the provision of better facilities and resources for living, mobility, stability and to help disabled children to actively take part in all activities in the community.

ELIGIBILITY

The grants are open to all disadvantaged children that are permanently resident in the UK and up to and including the age of 17 years. As the funds are limited we take a view of the whole circumstances of the family. Priority will be given to those items which are not covered by statutory funding.

GRANTS

For medical equipment, computer/ software, special toys sensory equipment, short breaks and days out including other basic items that will improve the life of the child and are vital to help maintain independence and quality of life; items that can change the life of a child in need. The grants would be paid direct to the equipment or service provider.

CRITERIA AND CHECKS

All applications need to be supported by the professionals looking after the well-being of the child i.e. doctor, school, social worker, health visitors and other interested parties providing day to day support who can specify the particular type of equipment or therapy needed in the interest of the child’s welfare, safety and benefit.
